At the beginning of this year, Chairman Liu Jianjun clearly pointed out at the 2018 work seminar that in 2018, the joint-stock company should implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, respond to the national call for poverty alleviation, and actively carry out targeted and accurate poverty alleviation work. According to the unified deployment of the Yueyang Municipal Party Committee and Government, Lingyang Village, Longmen Town, Pingjiang County, was used as the designated poverty alleviation village of the joint-stock company.
Lingyang Village, Longmen Town, Pingjiang County, is located in a remote area, 240 kilometers away from the urban area of Yueyang, bordering Xiushui, Jiangxi, surrounded by mountains, complex terrain, barren land, and harsh natural conditions. The village has 410 households, about 1900 people, and the overall living standard is low. Although the village successfully took off the label of "poor village" in 2017 with the help of various social sessions and its own efforts, there are still 15 poor households that have not been lifted out of poverty, and if the achievements of poverty alleviation are not further strengthened, some villagers may "return to poverty".
After understanding the actual situation of the village, the joint-stock company actively discussed countermeasures with the village committee and the Yueyang Judicial Bureau, the leading unit of poverty alleviation, and quickly implemented and carried out three aspects of work.
First, in order to improve the accuracy of poverty alleviation work, the joint-stock company appointed an employee as a poverty alleviation team member in the village to carry out a one-year poverty alleviation work in Lingyang Village.
Second, the joint-stock company took the initiative to "pair up" with eight poor households to help them get rid of poverty. On April 20, entrusted by Chairman Liu Jianjun, Luo Mingliang, deputy general manager of the joint-stock company, and Yin Gang, director of the office, went to Lingyang Village to visit poor households and sent a warm "love" to the enterprise ". In the next step, the joint-stock company will also organize party members and cadres to continue to carry out various forms of visits and condolences to help them get rid of poverty.
Third, according to the actual situation of weak water, roads and other living infrastructure in Lingyang Village, we will increase the budget of special funds for poverty alleviation, and implement funds in batches from May to improve the infrastructure construction of Lingyang Village.
Poverty alleviation is not only a glorious political task, but also a social responsibility of our enterprises. With the advancement of various poverty alleviation work, I believe Lingyang Village will have a better tomorrow!
